Thomas John ließ diesen Audi Quattro im Jahr 2012 aufbauen und griff dabei auf die seltene Rothmans-Lackierung von John Bosch zurück. Dabei erlebte er all die üblichen technischen Dramen, die der Aufbau eines solch komplizierten Autos mit sich bringt. Für 2019 überholte er den Audi komplett und entschied sich für die Lackierung von Harald Demuth aus der Deutschen Rallye-Meisterschaft von 1983.

Harald Demuth nahm die Deutsche Rallye-Meisterschaft des Jahres 1983 als klarer Favorit in Angriff. Wer sollte schon den Meister von 1982 und den überlegenen Audi Quattro schlagen? Den ersten Lauf ließen sie aus, beim zweiten rutschte Demuth in einen Graben und noch vor dem dritten hatte er bei Testfahrten einen Unfall und verletzte sich schwer am Knie, sodass er bis Juni pausieren musste. Damit war der Titel dahin.

This Audi Quattro was restored in 2012 and when it was completed, owner Thomas John chose the rare Rothmans livery used by John Bosch in 1985 and 1986. During the restoration process, Thomas John encountered all the usual dramas that you can have when you build such a complicated car. For 2019, Thomas rebuilt the car properly and changed its livery to the one driven by Harald Demuth in the German Rally Championship in 1983.

It should have been plain sailing for Harald Demuth and the Quattro in 1983 in the German Championship after the dominant 1982 season where the Audi driver won the championship with ease. But it all came out differently. They did not take part on the first event due to other commitments, then Harald crashed on the second and had a big testing accident just before the third rally. Demuth damaged his knee so badly that he could only rejoin the championship in June. By then, the others had scored already too many points and the championship was gone.

Cette Audi Quattro a été restaurée en 2012 et mises aux couleurs Rothmans utilisées par John Bosch en 1985 et 1986. Thomas John a rencontré tous les problèmes possibles et imaginables lorsqu’on restaure une telle voiture. Pour 2019, Thomas a reconstruit la voiture entièrement et a changé sa décoration pour celle d’Harald Demuth du Championnat d’Allemagne 1983

En 1983 au Championnat d’Allemagne Harald Demuth et sa Quattro auraient du plutôt faire de la voile, pourtant l’équipe avait dominé largement en 82. Ils ne purent participer au premier événement en raison d’autres engagements, Harald s’est ensuite sorti sur le deuxième et eu un grand crash en tests avant le troisième rallye. Il endommagea son genou tellement, qu’il ne pu rejoindre le championnat qu’en juin. Pendant ce temps les autres avaient déjà marqué trop de points.
