Dieser Fiat Ritmo 75 wurde damals vom Team 4 Rombi Corse eingesetzt und Roberto Cognolato hat ihn für das Jahr 2024 wieder in den Originalzustand und Farben von 1979 zurückversetzt.

Wer Targa Florio hört, denkt zuerst an das verrückte Straßenrennen in Sizilien bei dem eine Runde 72 Kilometer lang war. Nachdem das aber für die Rennwagen zu gefährlich wurde, fand ab 1978 die Targa Florio Rallye statt, die auch heute noch ein Meisterschaftslauf in Italien ist. Der italienische Rallyefahrer „Lucky“, mit richtigem Namen Luigi Battistolli, begann seine Karriere 1974 mit Opel und wechselte für die Saison 1979 zu Fiat. Teils mit dem 131 Abarth aber auch dem frontgetriebenen Ritmo 75 gewann er in dem Jahr sogar den Mitropa Cup. Seine Beifahrerin damals war schon Fabrizia Pons und die beiden fahren auch heute noch zusammen in der historischen Rallyemeisterschaft in Italien. Bei der Targa Florio Rallye 1979 wurden beide mit dem Ritmo 75 achte im Gesamt.

When you hear Targa Florio, the first thing that comes to mind is the crazy road race in Sicily where one lap was 72 kilometres long. However, after this became too dangerous for the racing cars, the Targa Florio Rally was organised from 1978 on, which is still a championship rally in Italy today. The Italian rally driver “Lucky”, whose real name is Luigi Battistolli, began his career with Opel in 1974 and switched to Fiat for the 1979 season. Partly with the 131 Abarth but also with the front-wheel drive Ritmo 75, he even won the Mitropa Cup that year. His co-driver back then was Fabrizia Pons and the two still drive together today in the historic rally championship in Italy. At the 1979 Targa Florio Rally, they both finished eighth overall in the Ritmo 75.

Lorsque vous entendez Targa Florio, la première chose qui vous vient à l’esprit est cette folle course sur route en Sicile où un tour faisait 72 kilomètres de long. Cependant, lorsque cette course est devenue trop dangereuse pour les voitures de course, le rallye Targa Florio a été organisé à partir de 1978, qui est encore aujourd’hui un rallye de championnat en Italie. Le pilote de rallye italien “Lucky”, de son vrai nom Luigi Battistolli, a commencé sa carrière chez Opel en 1974 et est passé chez Fiat pour la saison 1979. En partie avec la 131 Abarth, mais aussi avec la Ritmo 75 à traction avant, il a même remporté la Coupe Mitropa cette année-là. Sa copilote de l’époque était Fabrizia Pons et tous deux roulent encore ensemble aujourd’hui dans le championnat historique des rallyes en Italie. Lors du rallye Targa Florio de 1979, ils ont tous deux terminé huitièmes au classement général au volant de la Ritmo 75.
